Lamborghini Aventador ‘Miura Homage’ debuts in Hong Kong

Verde Scandal car replicates an iconic Miura colour scheme, created for a Hong Kong buyer

Lamborghini has revealed the latest version of its Aventador Miura Homage. Launched earlier in the year, this latest example is heading to the Hong Kong market - which will get only one car of the fifty available.

As you’ve probably already ascertained from its name, the Miura Homage is designed to evoke Lamborghini’s first mid-engined supercar, launched 50 years ago this year, through a selection of retrospective colour and trim combinations based on those of that original 1966 stunner.

The Hong Kong car is presented in one of the more recognisable Miura colour and trim combinations, that of Verde Scandal with a contrasting silver lower portion and Terra Emilia leather upholstery. This one also features a set of Dione alloy wheels (20in up front and 21in astern) in matt silver, while Miura badging marks the Homage Aventadors out from their regular counterparts.

Other colours available on the 50 Miura Homage cars include Rosso Arancio Miura and Blu Tahiti (in addition to Verde Scandal, another fifteen shades are available), while Nero Ade interior trim is also on the menu. Interior leather is double-stitched and carbonfibre trim predominates, while the exterior Miura badging is complemented by a limited edition plate in the cabin, denoting the car’s significance.

Power is as per the Aventador LP700-4, the 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 developing 690bhp at 8250rpm and 509lb ft of torque at 5500rpm. With all-wheel drive assisting in traction the 0-62mph sprint takes 2.9sec and a top speed of 217mph is quoted.

‘With the original color and trim of the Miura, along with its vintage interior upholstery, the Aventador Miura Homage sets out to redefine the classic supercar experience of the modern era’ said Mr Albert Wong, Director of Lamborghini Hong Kong of the new edition.
