The Porsche 911 is almost a default choice for many sports car buyers. But choosing which 911 isn’t an easy task. There are currently 16 different 911 variants – and that’s before you’ve start perusing the vast options list.

Perhaps the biggest quandary facing Carrera and Carrera S buyers is whether to go rear- or four-wheel-drive. Enter our latest track battle. We’ve pulled together both transmission variants in higher-powered S form, with the cars exhibiting both manual and PDK gearbox options, too.
