SRT Viper: European imports

Fancy an SRT Viper but live in Europe? Prepare to pay Porsche 911 Turbo money...

Fancy an SRT Viper? The latest V10 supercar will only officially be sold in America, but a handful of Vipers have made it to Europe via import. GeigerCars, a German importer set up in 1979, is bringing the Viper to its homeland, though at 139,900 euros (around £120,000), it’s priced considerably higher than its 97,395 US dollar price (circa £65,000). That takes it away from undercutting the Porsche 911 Carrera to fighting the Audi R8 V10 and new 911 Turbo. Though the likely Viper buyer is probably intentionally seeking its extreme rarity and muscle car brutishness. The 2013 SRT Viper uses a 640bhp, 600lb ft 8.4-litre V10 engine. Its carbonfibre and aluminium body helps to a 1521kg kerb weight, enough for a 428bhp/ton power-to-weight ratio – the same as a Ferrari F50 or Lamborghini Murcielago SV, cars which top 200mph. GeigerCars currently have three 2013 Vipers for sale, in red, black and yellow. Click here if you’re tempted…
