Aston Martin V8 Vantage gets Prodrive tweaks including 45bhp hike
The 4.3-litre Aston Martin V8 Vantage can more than match its younger 4.7 sibling thanks to Prodrive. And the company's range of tweaks, offered courtesy of Nicholas Mee & Co, can now be added to earlier V8s for less.
Prices have been cut by up to 25 per cent, with the performance pack - which raises total output to 425bhp - now costing £3908 + VAT, £4494 at the current 15 per cent rate. The extra poke is gained via new catalysts and an exhaust switchable by-pass.
There's a suspension pack that'll set you back £4916, which includes Bilstein adjustable dampers and Eibach springs at each corner plus rejigged suspension geometry. A £2587 aero pack includes a carbonfibre front lip spoiler and splitter and a bootlid spolier crafted from the same lightweight material, pictured. There's also a £3519 set of wheels and tyres (also pictured) - 19in Prodrive forged alloys, exclusive to the V8 Vantage, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Assimmetrico rubber.
All prices include fitting, with a combination of all the packages costing £14,292 including VAT. With an abundance of low-mileage, 2006 Vantages coming in below £40k now, that means a tidy Aston V8 capable of outgunning a brand new one could be yours for a little over £50k.
