Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 in chrome

How to make a big winged Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 even less subtle: striking chrome supercar this way

A chrome Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 has been revealed. It’s a completely unsubtle take on the racing version of the new-age Mercedes gullwing supercar, and should satisfy those who felt the Stormtrooper-esque SLS GT3 revealed by Mercedes was somewhat of a shrinking violet. It’s the work of Laureus Design and was displayed at the recent German Grand Prix in Hockenheim. The Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 was revealed back in March (full picture gallery here). It’s powered by the standard supercar’s 6.2-litre V8 engine, with its power output to be decided by the FIA before it competes in 2011 GT championship in, unsurprisingly, the GT3 class via privateer teams. While Mercedes revealed the car in a blazing white hue, teams will apply their own liveries.
