TVR comeback planned

TVR to crash back onto the performance car scene? Surprise 500bhp comeback car rumoured

Is TVR coming back? The strength of internet rumours surrounding the brand’s return certainly suggests so. It’s suggested that the company we thought to be defunct is heading back to glory with an all-new performance car. It’s expected to retain the core TVR character traits – front-engine, rear-wheel drive, lots of power and craziness – and is rumoured for an appearance at July’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Said power could come from an American ‘crate’ V8 engine, either Ford or Chevrolet sourced, with 500bhp+. It’s a cheaper fix than bespoke engines and would allow the new TVR to sell in global markets. There’s nothing approaching official word yet, but a quick visit to www.tvr.co.uk sees you greeted with an orange TVR Sagaris and a ‘website launches soon’ tag. Fingers crossed… Let us know what you think a new TVR should be like on the forum evo’s road test of the TVR Sagaris on road and our on-track video Follow evo on Twitter or our Facebook page for car news and views
