Mercedes McLaren SLR gallery

Production of the Mercedes McLaren SLR supercar ends. Here's a gallery of its life

The Mercedes McLaren SLR is about to die. Sad news, we know. But happily, it does mean we can gratuitously raid the Mercedes picture archive and give you a gallery that chronicles the SLR’s life, including some lovely tech details and cutaway shots. Oh, and those doors… The parting of Mercedes and McLaren’s road car efforts comes as they each unleash a new £150K, 200mph supercar. The Mercedes SLS AMG will take on the McLaren MP4-12C from 2010. Each will boast more performance than the SLR for less than half the price, which perhaps highlights the flaws of the outgoing supercar but also shows just how special and individual it was. Browse the photos below (click ‘em to make ‘em big) and peruse our list of links that take you to some of our SLR coverage from the past…  Watch evo’s video of the McMerc SLR Roadster Read our great escape to Scotland in a Merc SLR See what we think of the special edition SLR 722 Follow evo on Twitter for performance car news
