Ride and handling

With its 2015 updates Honda has completely revised the Civic’s suspension in a bid to provide more control and comfort. The damper rates have been changed, as have all the bushes, the result a Civic that feels a bit more entertaining on the road. It resists body roll very well, grip levels are high and the new quicker steering adds to its ability in the bends - if still being short of actual feel. It rides a little firmer than some of its rivals, but the suspension manages a fine balance between good control and comfort. Some might find it a touch stiff, but others will enjoy the sporting feel that gives the chassis.

Changes to the Vehicle Stability Assistant and Honda’s Agile Handing Assist help too, the latter braking the inside wheels when the steering is turned to improve response. It's not the best handling car in the class, but it certainly doesn’t trail its rivals like it once did.
