6 hours of Fuji: World Endurance Championship gallery

Toyota couldn't have had a better home event as the FIA WEC series hit the track in Fuji

Toyota Racing took home the perfect result at its home circuit of Fuji, putting the team at the top of the constructors' championship table ahead of rivals Audi.

A win for the Toyota TS040 Hybrid of evo contributor Anthony Davidson, and team mate Sebastien Buemi, also moves the pair further into the drivers' championship lead following two unlucky weekends at Le Mans and Circuit of the Americas.

Porsche made up the final podium position at the hands of Mark Webber, Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley, ahead of another Porsche and the two Audis, which struggled for pace against their Japanese and German rivals.

Toyota also found success in the LMP1-L class, thanks to the Rebellion R-One crew of Andrea Belicchi, Dominik Kraihamer and Fabio Leimer. LMP2 was won by the G-Drive Racing Ligier-Nissan while Ferrari locked out the first two podium positions in the LMGTE Pro class. Aston Martin completed the final podium position in the class.

There is still everything to play for in the FIA World Endurance Championship, with rounds at Shanghai, Bahrain and Sao Paolo still to follow in November. However, Toyota now looks in a strong position to take victory this season, following two WEC-winning years by the all-conquering Audi.
