Chevrolet Camaro

These are the best shots yet of the all-new Chevrolet Camaro

Scheduled for a presentation in about one year’s time, these are the best shots yet of the all-new Chevrolet Camaro, snapped undergoing cold-weather testing in northern Sweden.

The new Camaro will be a traditional, rear-wheel-drive American sportscar and might even feature independent rear suspension. What’s certain, however, is that power will come from a huge 6.0-litre V8 featuring cylinder shutdown to improve fuel economy. It’s hard to guess from these pictures whether the concept car’s 21-inch alloys (22 inches on rear) will make it into production.

Though we shot these pictures while the car was testing in Scandinavia, it’s the Australian brand of GM, Holden, that’s responsible for the development process. The car will be built in Canada, and the range will be completed by a convertible in 2010 or 2011.
