German tuner makes maddest Bentley

German tuner builds 641bhp Conti GT named after ‘Bentley Boy’

Bentley GT

First the Germans buy-up Bentley, now the German tuning industry has turned its attention to the Continental GT. MTM (famous for its bonkers twin-engined Audi TT) has created this, the ‘Birkin Edition’, claimed by the Bavarian tuner to be the fastest Bentley in the world, with a top speed of 206mph in its 641bhp guise.

The car is named after Sir Henry Birkin, the famous Bentley racer and non-German, and is also available in a 626bhp state of tune. The lower-powered model produces a thumping 575lb ft of torque, while the more powerful version knocks out 586lb ft. The increased outputs are achieved through electronic manipulation and a free-flow exhaust system.

You also get 21in alloys, but uprated brakes (412mm diameter discs at the front) are an optional extra. Go to www.mtm-online.de for more information.
