Skoda Yeti review - more fun than you might expect - Skoda Yeti interior and tech

An unlikely evo car, this Skoda crossover is both capable and surprisingly fun

Evo rating
RRP
from £17,210
  • Entertaining drive, masses of space, rugged good looks
  • Four-wheel drive models relatively expensive to run, basic entry-level spec

Skoda does functional well and the Yeti’s interior demonstrates that. All versions come with Varioflex seating, which allows numerous rear seating options - including the ability to remove the centre seat and move the outside seats inwards for a generously accommodating four-seat layout. The boot is well-shaped, the Yeti’s huge tailgate and upright box-like proportions making carrying big loads a cinch. Plenty cubbies inside, an underfloor boot area and (if optioned) reversible rubber mat for the boot makes the Yeti a practical choice.

That practicality doesn’t come at the expense of technology, as the Yeti, depending on specification, can park itself, monitor the driver for drowsiness and connect to your Bluetooth-equipped mobile telephone. There’s the choice of a touchscreen navigation and infotainment system, and if you’re intent on taking it off-road there’s an optional Off-Road pack that adjusts the various stability, traction and braking aids to better suit the off-road environment.
