Porsche Macan recalled for petrol fuel line issue

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by their local dealership for a free fix

Porsche has announced a precautionary recall of just under 60,000 petrol-powered Macan models for a low-pressure fuel line issue.

The recall covers 58,881 Macan S and Macan Turbo models sold worldwide, to investigate and enact repairs upon possible leaks in low-pressure fuel lines inside the engine compartment.

Porsche doesn’t go as far as to describe the potential results of fuel leaks around hot turbocharged engines, but does call the recall a ‘precautionary measure’ and says the problem was identified after a precise examination of existing complaints.

Brand-new models have already been fixed at the production stage, while Porsche dealers will contact existing owners to arrange an appointment. The fix will be carried out free of charge and should take around one hour.
