Peugeot to axe its GTI hot hatch range. We look at the best Pug GTI and Rallye hot hatches

Is Peugeot ditching its GTI hot hatch range? Reports circulating around the web at the moment certainly suggest so.

It makes for a shocking headline, but perhaps shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. The only Peugeot hot hatch currently on sale is the underwhelming 207 GTI, a far cry from its legendary 205 GTI forebear.

Peugeot is set to concentrate on more premium sports cars like the RCZ coupe, leaving a gap in its line-up previously filled by some of the cars below. Browse our gallery starring 106 and 205 GTIs (including our Grand Challenge warrior), 106 and 306 Rallyes and the fantastic 205 T16 rally car. There’s also room to show some of the lesser GTIs of recent times, the ultimately disappointing 206 and 207 GTIs.
