TechArt unveils new 770bhp package for Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid

The German tuner gives the exceedingly powerful Turbo S E-Hybrid yet more power, and a wide body kit

Revealed on the German tuner’s website ahead of the Essen Motor Show, an event often referred to as the SEMA of Germany, the modified Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid shows what TechArt can do when given free rein with the flagship Porsche saloon.

The tuning kit is available for both the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Gran Turismo and Sport Turismo models, providing significant gains over the standard cars. The tuner squeezes a significant 89bhp extra out of the model alongside an impressive 95ft lb of torque, bringing total figures to a whopping 770bhp and 723ft lb.

As if the Turbo S E-Hybrid models weren’t accelerative enough, flick the tuned car into Sport mode and it can sprint from 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds, 0-100mph in just 7 seconds and to an electronically limited top speed of 196mph. That’s faster than a Ferrari 458 Spider to 62mph. In a family wagon. The tuner claims it tested the tuned powertrain extensively to ensure the combustion engine and hybrid system worked in perfect harmony, allowing the cars to remain fully serviceable, retaining all engine protection features you’d see from the factory. It also doesn’t interfere with standard engine management software, which is nice.

If you find the standard car’s styling a little too subtle, you can choose to have TechArt’s GrandGT styling package. This gives you a carbon fibre bonnet, more aggressive side skirts, 22-inch wheels and wide arches at the front and rear to give a wider stance. The modifications don’t stop there, though, with unique coloured stitching making an appearance on the interior alongside an Acid Green drive mode switch on the steering wheel. Illuminated door entry guards and aluminium pedals also make an appearance, adding to the custom feel of a TechArt-tuned model.

You can choose to option a valve-controlled TechArt sports exhaust system, too, allowing the 4.0-litre V8 power plant to breathe more freely. They look good as well, with the aggressive carbon fibre diffuser surrounding all four titanium tailpipes. The kit can be installed in a ‘short time’ by any authorized TechArt sales partner.
