Bentley to build special edition Continental Supersports

Built in celebration of Bentley's entry into the Nurburgring 24 hour race, 24 will be built for the European market.

On the cusp of this weekend’s ADAC Nurburgring 24-hour race, Bentley will be celebrating its three-car entry by offering a limited edition ‘Continental 24’ version of the Continental Supersports. With two distinct paint options based on the liveries based on Bentley’s Continental GT3 race car, it will be limited to 24 units within Europe.

The unique duotone paintwork is made up of either Monaco Yellow or St James’ Red highlights on top of Crystal black paintwork. This is complemented (if you could call it that) by requisite coloured Supersports stickers along the bodyside and two-tone wheels. For those who are after a slightly subtler look, Bentley will offer the choice of a single tone paint finish too.

Carbonfibre wing mirrors, black brake calipers and blacked out brightwork complete the transformation from the standard Supersport outside, while the interior features unique embroidered emblems on the headrests, checkerboard carbonfibre trim and leather highlights in the same feature colour as the exterior.

Sharing the same mechanical package as the Continental Supersports released earlier this year, the Supersports is Bentley’s fastest road-car ever, with 700bhp and 750lb ft of torque it will hit 62mph in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 209 mph. Using a modified version of Bentley’s 6.0-litre W12 engine, this will be a final hurrah for the VW group's WR12 engine as the Continental’s upcoming successor is to use the same all-new W12 engine as the Bentayga SUV.

Customer deliveries will start in July this year with prices starting at €250,000, UK prices have yet to be confirmed.
