Porsche 911 future design concept

An industrial design student has produced this stunning Porsche 901

You might have noticed that we like our Porsches at evo. The Cayman GT4 could very well become our dream sports car, the 911 GT3 has been long been a favourite of ours, and the manic 911 GT2 RS, well, it’s been nicknamed the widow-maker. In short, we quite like products of Stuttgart.

So when we stumbled across Ege Arguden's futuristic 911 designs, we were immediately intrigued. Mixing lines of the classic original with futuristic details, Arguden’s Porsche 901 looks undeniably cool.

Arguden is an industrial designer from Turkey, with intern experience at BMW, Chrysler, Volkswagen and Ford on his CV. The 901 was designed for a project in his seventh term at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

Incorporating the ‘essence of the original’ 911, the young designer’s car is actually about the same size as the now dinky original. But with its bulging arches, smooth doors and twin-tailpipes, it might steal attention if it were to roll down a street of tomorrow.

We’re all for supporting young designers at evo, having recently run a Royal College of Art competition to design a Nissan GT-R for 2030. After dreaming of a future Nissan, we’re now daydreaming about our future 901.

Have a flick through Arguden's design concept drawings and illustrations and let us know, would you buy a 901?
