Fiat 500 open-top

Fiat's been working on an open-top and we have the pics to prove it

Rumours started in spring that Fiat is working on a 500 Cabrio and even the company’s director of design confirmed that the Italian manufacturer was working on an open-top version. And now we have the pictures that prove it. The newcomer will be a cabrio-coach or semi-convertible that has a retractable textile roof. It is more of a targa, and these kinds of cars usually don’t need a redesign of the body at all. We reckon Fiat is developing this semi-convertible for two reasons: first to save costs and secondly to distance the 500 Cabrio from competitors like the Mini or VW Beetle convertibles.
