The perfect 10 – the dream car list we’ve all spent too long thinking about

We’re going to reveal our dream car top tens soon, and want to know yours too: new, old, fast or slow

It’s the question we get asked perhaps more than any other as evo writers: what’s the best car you’ve ever driven? We've already gone and revealed our choices in issue 291 which is available to buy here if you’ve not already got a copy, but now we want to throw the question over to you.

Have a good think (it takes a while and it ain’t easy) and send your lists to letters@evo.co.uk. We’ll then crunch the numbers and reveal your combined Perfect 10 in a future issue and online.

The rules

To make the Perfect 10 we’ve laid down some key ground-rules: One, you can only choose one car per manufacturer. Two, you must have driven your nominated cars. And three, all cars must also be road legal. Other than that, it’s carte blanche.

Our lists make for some fascinating reading, revealing numerous sub-plots and inevitably revealing our collective favourite Porsche, our most coveted Ferrari and our most revered McLaren – all which might not be the ones you’d expect.

But right now sit back, pour yourself a glass or a mug of whatever works best for you – we’re not all the same, remember – and get your thinking caps on. We can't wait to see your choices.
