evo Car of the Year

evo Car of the Year

Welcome to evo Car of the Year 2011, the most exciting date in our calendar. Put simply, eCOTY is the gold standard of performance car comparisons, with the only the manufacturers of the hottest and most impressive new cars of the year invited to take part. That gives us an unrivalled field of candidates from the most prestegious carmakers on the planet.

And this year, for the first time, eCOTY has moved to Portugal, based around the spectacular Portimao race circuit in the Algarve. Not only does this give us the chance to put the cars through their paces on the FIA-standard race track, which features a greater variety of corners than you'd find pretty much anywhere else. It also means that we were able to assess the cars on the spectacular (and quiet) mountain roads nearby.

You can check out video and images of each car individually using the navigation panel on the right - and you can read the full story of the year's ultimate test in evo issue 164, on sale now! Get your copy and find out more here...
