Collezione, Sprint Speciale models join Alfa Romeo Mito and Giulietta range

Latest Alfa Romeo trim levels increase luxury and sporty appeal

Alfa Romeo has refreshed the Mito and Giulietta with a brace of new trim levels, adding a raft of styling enhancements and equipment to boost the appeal of its core models.

Both models get a new Collezione trim line, which acts as a luxurious range-topper for each model. The smaller Mito, available with a 104bhp TwinAir or 138bhp 1.4-litre turbocharged engine, gets 17in ‘Collezione Bronze’ alloy wheels and matching door mirror caps, with satin-effect headlight and tail light trims.

Inside there’s cloth and leather trim, with brown stitching on the steering wheel, gearknob and handbrake gaiter. The ‘vintage’ floor mats are Collezione-branded while Uconnect infotainment with TomTom navigation and DAB radio are all standard.

Pricing starts at £17,660 for the TwinAir variant and £19,210 for the 1.4, which comes as standard with Alfa’s twin-clutch transmission and uprated Brembo brakes.

Giulietta Collezione models begin at £24,820 for a 1.4-litre, 168bhp turbocharged model. For that, you get a gloss-black painted roof with matching door mirrors, parking sensors at both ends, and 18in multi-spoke alloy wheels. Like the Mito there’s leather trim (with heated front seats), a Uconnect navigation system and DAB.

For £1425 you can add a dual-clutch transmission to the Giulietta Collezione, while diesel models start at £25,680 with 148bhp and £27,840 for a 173bhp model with the dual-clutch ‘box.

The third trim line resurrects a famous Alfa Romeo moniker from the past. The original Giulietta Sprint Speciale was a sleek, aerodynamic rebody of the Giulietta Sprint coupe, aimed at bringing Alfa Romeo racing success.

The latest Giulietta Sprint Speciale is effectively a Giulietta with a set of 17in alloy wheels, though sports suspension, Brembo brakes, sports seats and alloy pedals are also on the specification list.

Pricing here starts at £23,320 for a 150PS 1.4, £24,745 for the dual-clutch, £24,180 for the 148bhp diesel and £26,340 for the 173bhp, dual-clutch diesel. All models are available to order now.
