VW Golf GTI game

Volkswagen creates epic Scalextric track to virtually try the new Golf GTI out on

Volkswagen has gone on a different tack in raising awareness of the new Mk6 Golf GTI. It has built a rather epic Scalextric track around which it has filmed scale models of the new hot hatch.

As a result, you can virtually race around using your mouse or keyboard, taking in facts on the new car and trying to set a quick time – with a three-month loan of the new GTI up for grabs.

The track measures 30x25ft and features over 200 scaled buildings around it, and racing is akin to real Scalextric in that giving it the beans too close to a corner means you’ll fly off the track and throw away your shot at a fast time.
