Jaguar F type R AWD v Porsche 911 Turbo S - which is fastest?

Our latest drag race pits British brawn against Germanic efficiency against the clock.

Jaguar’s F type R AWD is a sublime British sports car with huge performance levels and a thunderous soundtrack to match. Its 5-litre, supercharged V8 produces a not inconsiderable 542bhp at 6500rpm and 501lb ft at 3500rpm, with its slick 8-speed automatic gearbox sending all that power and torque to all four wheels with very little effort. evo's Drag Battles were all conducted at Alconbury's Cambridgeshire runway on a dry surface. All cars were supplied from manufacturers' press fleets on standard OEM tyres with the manufacturers were not aware of the tests being conducted.
