New Vauxhall VXR8 in showrooms

Vauxhall's revised VXR8 muscle car hits showrooms alongside other updated models

Fans of Vauxhall’s barmy VXR8 will be pleased to hear the revised model hits specialist VXR dealers in time for the new 11-plate registration this March. The revised VXR8 features heavily modified styling front and rear as well as revisions to the interior.

As before, the flagship of the Vauxhall range is based on the equivalent Holden model. The latest revisions are taken from the Holden GTS, rather than the Clubsport model, with the price rising to £49,500. This value is enhanced, though, with the VXR8 covered by Vauxhall’s new 100,000 mile ‘Lifetime Warranty’.

Revisions extend to other members of the Vauxhall family, with facelifted versions of the Antara SUV and Corsa launching as well as the arrival of ES Tech trim level for the Astra. The latter costs £18,110 in 138bhp 1.4-litre Turbo trim (an engine we’re fans of) and gets a plethora of standard equipment, including sat-nav, Bluetooth, air conditioning and a digital radio.

All models are available to order now for March 2011 delivery, and will also appear at the 2011 Geneva motor show in March.
