Suzuki Kizashi

Spotted on the German Nurburgring race circuit, this is the all-new mid-sized family saloon from Suzuki, called the Kizashi

Although the name may change, this is the production version of the concept which made its world debut at the New York Auto Show earlier this year. Obviously toned down a bit from the sleek concept, the Kizashi will be built in Sagara, Japan, and will arrive at dealerships in early 2010. Suzuki is pitting the Kizashi up against Toyota’s Camry and – in the U.S. – the hot-selling Chevrolet Malibu, therefore it was no surprise to find a few of the Chevrolets out testing with the Kizashi prototypes. Power-wise, we’re expecting the base model to be equipped with a 150+ horsepower 2.3-litre 4-cylinder engine, and the top-of-the-line Kizashi will be powered by a 3.6-litre V6 (with 280 to 300 bhp) mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
