Rolls-Royce Ghost coupe: the Wraith

Rolls-Royce will unveil its new Ghost coupe - called the Wraith - at the 2013 Geneva motor show

Rolls-Royce will unveil its Ghost coupe at the 2013 Geneva motor show. And it’s been revealed today that it will get its own model name, dubbed the Rolls-Royce Wraith.

All we have to go on so far is the unhelpful teaser image – above – though there have been previous hints of what we can expect. The two-door Ghost will share its mechanical package with the saloon, but is said to be a more dynamic proposition to drive, while reports suggest it could become Rolls-Royce’s most powerful car yet. The Ghost uses a 563bhp twin-turbo 6.6-litre V12 engine; the Wraith could take this towards 600bhp.

Styling wise, insiders hint we can expect rear-hinged doors – keeping it in line with coupe and open-top versions of the Phantom limo – and a two-tone paint scheme.

More details and pictures will be drip-fed in the lead up to the Rolls-Royce Wraith unveil at the 2013 Geneva motor show in March. Keep your eyes on evo.co.uk for more information.
