Techart Porsche Panamera Turbo

Techart modifies the Porsche Panamera: 572bhp, sub-4sec to 62mph, but how does it look?

Techart has created a performance upgrade for the Porsche Panamera Turbo, dubbed the TA 070/T1. Many kits and upgrades for the Panamera are knocking around now, and Techart aims to compete by combining a slightly more subtle bodykit with copious dashings of extra power.  The upgrade liberates another 79bhp and 96lb ft of torque from the twin-turbo 4.8-litre V8 engine, the Techart Turbo boasting a mighty 572bhp and 612lb ft. That allows it to complete the 0-62mph dash in 3.8sec, hit 124mph in 12.5sec and top out at a supercar-baiting 196mph. All of this extra go is called upon by a simple press of the sport button on the centre console.  Techart has also developed various styling and aero tweaks to complement the performance gains. Sadly none of them transform the Panamera into an automotive Angeline Jolie, but they do add a little more aggression and menace, especially in black metallic and of-the-moment matt black. Splitters, wings, beefier exhausts, brake upgrades and numerous wheel designs can be picked to spec up the exterior while new leather options, finewood inserts and entertainment systems individualise the cabin. Porsche’s Panamera isn’t to all tastes, but it has proven to be a very capable companion for covering large distances in haste. Techart’s upgrade adds more fireworks for those who are not wholly satisfied with the standard car. Prices are yet to be released for the TA 070/T1 kit. It goes on sale in August. Click here for previous Techart Panamera news Read how the Porsche Panamera Turbo compares to Maserati and Jaguar What does a Porsche Panamera by Mansory look like?
