Porsche Cayenne GTS Design Edition

Buy a special edition Porsche Cayenne GTS, get a matching watch to go with it

This is the latest Porsche Design Edition, and it’s a tad different to the two cars that preceded it. After the Porsche Cayman S DE 1 and Boxster S DE 2 comes this Cayenne DE 3, with just a thousand being produced worldwide.

It’s based on the Cayenne GTS, getting its 4.8-litre 400bhp V8 engine and standard six-speed Tiptronic S transmission. It gives the two and a quarter ton SUV a 156mph top speed and a 0-62mph sprint time of 6.5sec.

Changes for the Design Edition include exclusive exterior styling – Lava Grey paint, black stripes and new 21in alloys – and lashings of carbon and alcantara inside.

There’s a sports exhaust system so that your arrival is less subtle than before, which is complemented by a 14-speaker Bose 5.1 surround sound stereo inside the car.

It’ll set you back £64,753 – a ten grand hike over a standard Cayenne GTS – but there is a Porsche Design Chronograph watch and four-piece luggage set included to soften the blow, while you’ll be in the elite club of 1000 owners. There’s also a complimentary course at the new Porsche Driving Experience Centre at Silverstone. You can order one from May.
