Peugeot has added a new Red Carbon special edition to its RCZ coupe line-up. Details here

Peugeot has added a limited edition high-spec ‘Red Carbon’ model to its RCZ coupe range, featuring more extreme RCZ R-style looks, with a huge amount of standard equipment to tempt UK buyers.

Three engine choices are available. The 1.6-litre THP petrol engine can be bought in a lower 156bhp form for £26,000 or its most potent 197bhp state of tune for £28,400. There is also the more economical diesel option with the 163bhp 2.0 HDI, from £27,850. All models are only available with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Based on the existing Sport model, the Red Carbon come fully loaded with most of the Peugeot option list ticked. The interior gets red stitching on the black leather seats, steering wheel and gear knob.

Two colours can be specified, Moroccan Red or Nera Black, which is combined with the standard Black Pack. This includes a matt black roof panel gloss black front grille and mirror caps. Factory fit sat nav is also thrown in.

On sale now, the Red Carbon edition offers around about a £1000 discount on a similarly specified standard RCZ model. A total of 300 will be built, with 200 headed to the UK.
