Nissan 370Z Black Edition

Special edition of the Nissan 370Z muscle car puts it in line with the mighty GT-R

Nissan has given the 370Z a bit of a spruce up. Well, who can blame them? It is the 40th anniversary of the Z car after all. The shame of it is that this is a purely cosmetic exercise, no more than a paint-and-poncey-bits 370Z. Called the Black Edition, you get the choice of black or quartz (light black) bodywork to go with your dark grey RAYS wheels and red brake calipers, while inside just about every option box has been ticked, the 370Z benefiting from a red leather and suede interior with embossed logo on the seats, touchscreen hard drive sat nav, Bose audio and the really rather clever Synchro Rev Control device. On sale from April, only 370 are coming to Europe priced at £33,645 (£35,045 if you want the seven-speed auto). It’s a mean looking thing alright, but we rather wish they’d done a bit of suspension tweaking or tuned the 324bhp 3.7-litre V6. Just to show they care.
