Want to be a racing driver?

We're on the look out for a talented racer. Could it be you? The only way to find out is to enter our free competition.

Evo and Dunlop Race Academy’s search to find a new racing driver is in full swing. All those attending one of evo’s first three trackdays this year have the chance to win a fully funded race in a Nissan 370Z in the Sport Maxx Cup. The only stipulation is that you can’t have held a race licence before, otherwise it’s free to enter.

Two of the trackdays have now passed and four very excited candidates have been selected.

There’s a certain amount of competition on the judging panel, too as at each trackday one driver is chosen by a BTCC driver and the other is chosen by a member of the evo team. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see which camp spots the eventual winner!

The drivers selected so far are: Simon Clarke (picked by features ed Henry Catchpole), Tommy Lee (picked by Airwaves BMW driver Mat Jackson), Matt Thompson (picked by editor Nick Trott) and Vince Whittle (picked by Aon Ford’s Tom Chilton).

Two more drivers will be chosen at the evo trackday on Friday August 13th before all six come together for a final shootout to choose the overall winner on our last trackday of the year at Silverstone on September 8th.

All our lucky winners will be blogging about their experiences in the Community section of the website.
