Trackday Trophy launches

Motorsport Vision launches its Trackday Trophy, a new series for racing novices

Trackday Trophy

Motorsport Vision is launching a new race series. It kicks off today (March 27) and is aimed at trackday drivers who want to take the next step up and start racing. The Club MSV Trackday Trophy opens up at Brands Hatch, the first of four rounds planned at the moment. Each race consists of a 30 minute qualifying session and a 45 minute race, with minimum-length driver changes. Refuelling isn’t allowed. The Trophy’s aimed at teams of two drivers, to help cut running costs by sharing cars. There are three power-to-weight classes, so that cars already honed for trackdays can be eligible. Class A allows 175-200bhp/ton, Class B 150-175 and Class C is for cars under 150bhp/ton. If you’re interested, www.trackdaytrophy.co.uk is the place to find out more information and register. The next rounds currently penciled in are at Snetterton (June 27) and Brands Hatch (October 23).
