Revolve Eco Rally

Revolve's Eco Rally from Brighton to London features Tesla Roadster

Revolve is hosting another Eco Rally from Brighton to London.

It organised a highly successful first event back in 2007, and this year’s follow up is set to be even more so. It should even be of interest to us evo types, with the Tesla Roadster a star attraction of the rally and an appearance from racing legend John Surtess.

Things kick off at 8am on Monday June 8, with Quentin Willson (formerly of Top Gear TV fame) launching the rally at Brighton’s Madeira Drive. Cars will leave at 10am, with a pit stop at the Sainsbury’s eco-supermarket in Greenwich at 11.30.

More cars will join the rally as it heads to London’s City Hall where Mayor Boris Johnson will welcome the rally into the city at 2.45pm.

Boris said ‘the Revolve Eco Rally is a great way to promote the use of less polluting, low carbon transport which I am also championing in the capital. So I am delighted that for the first time, the 2009 Eco Rally will draw to a triumphant close right outside London’s City Hall.’ For more information and details of the route head to www.eco-rally.org.
