New Ducatis

Milan debut for new 1198, Monster and Streetfighter

Ducati has stolen the show at EICMA motorbike exhibition in Milan. First up is the brand new Streetfighter, a stripped-down 153bhp lightweight which uses a 1099cc L-Twin engine. It's a very different Ducati, but a hugely cool one at that. There's a hotter S version, too, which boasts lighter parts, trick suspension and traction control.

The 1098 has now become the 1198, which is a totally new bike despite fairly similar looks to the current model. It features a new Testastretta Evoluzione engine boasting 168bhp while the bike is lavished in technology derived from Troy Bayliss's 2008 World Championship winner. Again, there's an S version which benefits from traction control. It is joined by the updated 2009 Monster 1100.
