Caparo T1 Race Extreme

Race Extreme version of Caparo T1 announced, plus new canopy option

Caparo has released details of its high-end Race Extreme version of the Caparo T1. The vehicle is aimed specifically at full-on (and affluent) trackday enthusiasts and has been built with the company’s usual no-compromise approach to producing ultimate track performance projectiles. Engine power from the fuel injected V8 is 620bhp at 10,500rpm, and, coupled with the car’s flea-sized dry weight of 550kgs, is gutsy enough to propel the vehicle to 100mph in just 5.8seconds! Top speed is listed as 208mph.

The car comes with fully adjustable suspension and aerodynamic packs, tuneable ECU, high-spec braking system, six-speed sequential gearbox and fully adjustable traction control system.

Caparo has also bowed to customer demand and created a full climate pack, consisting of a plexiglass canopy and air conditioning. Canopy cost is £21,760, and an air-con unit can be fitted for an extra £3,750. The option can be installed on new orders as well as existing T1 models. More info from www.Caparo.com
