Bentley announces new biofuel Continental GT performance car for Geneva

Bentley will be gracing the Geneva motor show in March with a new car, and it's a bit of a new direction for the brand. It runs on biofuel – we would guess at E85, used by the Koenigsegg CCXR - yet is also the fastest and most powerful production car to ever wear the Flying B.

That means at least 600bhp and 202mph, with this new Conti GT possibly taking the name Super Speed. Little else is known - Bentley are been particularly teasing on this one, with limited information and just a dark, shaded front shot of the car. It immediately looks a more focused machine, though, with less glitz and bigger air intakes the big clues to the car's intent.

It signals stage one of Bentley's environmental commitment, apparently, with the brand particularly proud of it being the first company to use biofuel in the luxury car sector. Whether anyone buys a 600bhp+ Continental GT for its green credentials remains to be seen...
