Fisker Karma goes on show at Harrods

The front window of Harrods is currently home to the Fisker Karma, which is due to go on sale internationally before the end of February

Following Fisker's US launch of the Karma at the end of 2011, what better way to publicise the international roll-out than parking the luxury 'range extended' electric car in the front window of Harrods, the Kensington-based department store.

Not only will you be able to take a look around the Karma, prospective buyers can virtually configure their own model, and even book a test drive with their nearest dealer. Prices start from $102,000 in the US.

'Harrods is one of the most prestigious retail sites in the world, which is perfect for our car,' said Henrik Fisker, co-founder and CEO of Fisker Automotive. 'The landmark store attracts hundreds of thousands of customers from all over the world during January, and we look forward to introducing them to the Fisker Karma.'

We drove the Fisker last year, and even though it has is drawbacks, the Karma is a truely exciting eco car, and is a viable alternative to a big-engined executive car. Read the full drive here: Fisker Karma first drive
