Lotus Exige S2

Working at evo is terrific, but it does spoil you. It's not that we don't appreciate - relish even - the stream of new cars that pass through our hands, but having access to a fresh car every week or so does mean that you end up adopting something of a 'been there, done that' attitude.

Working at evo is terrific, but it does spoil you. It's not that we don't appreciate - relish even - the stream of new cars that pass through our hands, but having access to a fresh car every week or so does mean that you end up adopting something of a 'been there, done that' attitude.

Things are a little different, and the attachment a little more emotional, when it's your own car. Even so, after 18 months I've decided that it's time to sell the Exige. It's not that I don't love it; when I do drive it (which, admittedly, has not been that often lately), it still feels truly special, while just admiring it reinforces the whole mini-exotic ownership experience. But it's time for a change.
As you probably know, buying is easy, but selling is a complete nightmare. Consequently I'm caught between taking the easy but financially painful option of selling it to a dealer (and paying for his Caribbean holiday in the process), putting it on AutoTrader's website, eBaying it, or throwing myself at the mercy of you lot.

So, if you fancy a fastidiously maintained, very shiny, cherished-from-new Exige with all the goodies, and want to make me a sensible offer, email me at richardm@evo.co.uk
