Lamborghini Aventador tuned by DMC

Tuning company DMC has tweaked the Lamborghini Aventador to almost 1000bhp. Pictures and details here

German tuning company DMC, which specialises in performing upgraded on Lamborghinis, Ferraris and other exotics, has released the first details of a tuning package for the Lamborghini Aventador.

Called the LP988 Edizione GT, the company has not released full details on exactly what has been done to the engine, but with more the name suggests a power figure of around 975bhp. Turbocharging seems the most likely option to get to the quoted power figure, which eclipses the standard 690bhp Aventador by 285bhp.

External modifications are extreme, and the rear spoiler and diffuser clearly share some inspiration with the £2.8m Veneno. There’s a deep front splitter, and a new engine cover with an air intake above the cabin. Everything is made from carbon fibre, and what appears to be a clear laquer finish, a la Pagani Huayra, is available. The aerodynamic effect of all the spoilers is not clear, but with almost 1000bhp on tap, the Aventador will need all the help it can get.

The bodykit and engine modifications can be bought separately, costing £54,766 ($89,990) and £81,875 ($134,530). There will also be more on offer, but DMC is remaining tight-lipped on the specifics until the car is fully revealed later in the year.
