Novitec Lamborghini Aventador SV offers a supercharged 970bhp

Novitec has boosted this Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster close to 1,000bhp, because it can.

When money is no object, extraordinary things can happen. While a standard Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is more than enough for most people, one owner has decided that this is not the case and has called in the services of German tuning house Novitec to make their car a little bit more special.

Always happy to oblige, Novitec has taken the regular SV model and uprated its power from 750bhp to 970bhp. This punchy new power output comes courtesy of a supercharger being strapped to the 6.5 litre V12. As if the feral shrieks and howls of the Aventador’s stock V12 wasn’t enough, this car presumably now gains the whining note of a supercharger as accompaniment. It’s something we’d really quite like to hear for ourselves.

What performance will now be like is anyone’s guess, but we doubt it will be anything less than ballistic. The Novitec modifications go much further than the engine bay too. The Aventador is draped in a host of visual and aerodynamic upgrades that give the car a pumped-up presence few hypercars can match. A normal Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster looks positively restrained and discrete in comparison.

There’s a redesigned rear wing, outlandish side skirts and the rear diffuser has been enhanced to increase under floor downforce. As we have seen on so many tuner cars in the past, a set of exquisite bespoke Vossen wheels complete the car and provide a pleasant viewing window to the red callipered carbon ceramic brakes that are carried over from the factory spec SV.

Lamborghini is renowned for making some of the worlds most striking cars, a trick it has been pulling off since the Miura, but few stock models have been quite as imposing as this Novitec Aventador. We think you’ll agree.
