Cracking pictures as 110 Lamborghinis, from Miura to Gallardo Superleggera, go on the prowl in the Alps

Few things in the car world scream ‘evo’ more than 110 Lamborghinis, covering most of the company’s sports car history, being driven hard through the Swiss Alps. Last weekend, June 18 to 20 2010, Lamborghinis and their owners from across the world gathered to celebrate the marque at ‘Lamborghini St. Moritz 2010’. The programme of routes taken by the convoy included some of the best tarmac the Alps have to offer, taking in the Julierpass and Fluelapass and even the snow of St Moritz itself.                   Heading up possibly one of the best convoys in history was the now-infamous Gallardo Police car. Other stars providing the fireworks included a 1973 Miura Jota and the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera, sporting its 70kg weight reduction over standard. Valentino Balboni was also present along with his namesake and every other current Lambo model.   Although worth well into the millions, the convoy took no prisoners when it came to the task of dispatching the roads, dicing with everyday traffic and the elements.  Meets like this help quash the molly-coddled reputation of most supercars. Which is surely a good thing...
