Jaguar XFR Speed Pack priced

Jaguar reveals prices and details of its new 174mph XFR Speed Pack sports saloon

Jaguar’s updated XF range boasts a new 174mph sports saloon.

The XFR Speed Pack costs £2750 more than a standard XFR. That buys a revised engine and gearbox calibration and tweaked suspension, while a new front splitter and rear wing improve the aerodynamics as the limited top speed rises 19mph. There’s no extra power for the XFR’s 503bhp supercharged 5-litre V8 engine.

The standard XFR has had a spruce up itself, gaining an 8-speed automatic gearbox and stop/start technology to yield sizeable improvements in fuel economy (up 11 per cent) and CO2 emissions (down 8 per cent).

Elsewhere in the XF range, a 161bhp 2.2-litre diesel kicks the range off below £30,000 while a 335bhp supercharged 3-litre V6 petrol engine replaces the old naturally aspirated 5-litre V8, with prices starting at £47,550.

The Jaguar XFR starts at £65,380, the Speed Pack-equipped car costing from £68,130.
