Ford releases Ford Performance parts for Fiesta ST, Focus RS and Mustang models

Available to order through dealers, these performance parts are covered under Ford's warranty.

Ford Performance has released a sweeping range of new dealer fit parts to give its Fiesta, Focus and Mustang models a bit more bite.

In much the same way as Mountune offers aftermarket upgrades for fast Fords, these Ford Performance Parts are offered through Ford dealerships complete with a Ford warranty. Here though, Ford Performance has developed these components themselves, with input from partnering firms like Roush, Borla and KW.

For the Fiesta ST, Focus ST and the Focus RS some of the new components include an adjustable coilover suspension kit that lowers the ride height by as much as 40mm and lightweight 10-spoke alloy wheels ranging in size between 17 and 19 inches. Specific to the Focus RS is Ford’s ‘drift stick’, a mechanical lever connected to the rear wheels, instantly locking the rear axle via the GKN differential for rally-style tail-out antics.

The Mustang gets a slightly different set of tweaks, featuring it’s own set of suspension upgrades and a new short-shift linkage in cars equipped with a manual gearbox. A new stainless steel exhaust system co-developed by Borla is also available for both Ecoboost and V8 versions.

The Mustang GT is also available with two different power upgrades for its V8 engine. The first, called the 'GT Calibration Power Pack', raises the engine’s rev limit to 7500rpm and is available in three stages. Ford has not released any specifics as to what the upgrade pack is comprised of, nor any expected power outputs for each stage.

The second main Mustang upgrade is a supercharger kit co-developed by American tuning company Roush. The kit raises the standard V8’s power to over 600bhp says Ford, but, and it’s a big but, neither of these Mustang engine upgrades have been homologated for road use. Ford has yet to comment on whether it is in the process of being homologated, but if not, expect them to be specific to competition or track day applications.

All of the parts can be fitted at Ford dealerships and have been designed for plug-and-play installation, meaning that no-road tuning will be required once fitted. Available alongside new order cars, or retrofited on existing models, the parts are available to order now.
