evo Bedford trackday: April 8 2011

Report and pictures from the first evo trackday of 2011, an evening at Bedford on April 8

The first Bedford track evening took place on Friday April 8, and was rated a huge success by all those who took part.

This included reigning Formula Two champion, Dean Stoneman, who took out both his Nissan GT-R and Harry Metcalfe’s Audi RS5 long-term test car for some very quick laps. Meanwhile Harry made his usual low-key entrance in something else – by bringing his Lamborghini Countach out to play, although his flame-spitting laps were limited by slightly exceeding the noise limits… Editor Nick Trott was on hand to chat to all, contributor Jonny Smith and Fifth Gear regular brought along a spectacular bright orange Aston Martin V12 Vantage, art director Paul Lang was lapping his SEAT Leon Cupra R, while Roger Green was busy track testing the latest Caterham Supersport. The weather was perfect and the track was busy all evening, with everything from a Beetle Fun Cup car and a couple of classic Minis, through to a brace of 911s with pretty much every in between, and you can see them all on www.autographicphotography.com The next track evening takes place on Friday May 6th and it’s already booking up fast. Don’t miss it! Book here now...
