Edo Ferrari Enzo

Another day, another Edo Competition car - this time a 800bhp Ferrari Enzo supercar

Do you consider the Ferrari Enzo a little bit tame? Good news – Edo Competition has seen to your woes with the Enzo XX, its tweaked and slightly insane version of the supercar.

As well as a 100kg-dropping diet, power is increased and is estimated at 800bhp (up from the standard Enzo’s pretty puny 650bhp) at a dizzying 8500rpm while torque is up from 485lb ft to 575lb ft (delivered at 5800rpm).

It’s courtesy of a complete and thorough engine overhaul, the displacement being increased from 6 to 6.3 litres, with new steel cylinders, pistons, camshafts and valve springs as well as new exhaust manifolds, a fresh cooling system, new clutch, gaskets and more.

The performance gains are pretty impressive, too, with 0-62mph taking 3.2sec, 124mph arriving in 9sec and 0-186mph (300km/h) taking 19sec. Estimated top speed is in excess of 235mph.

To keep things in check there are carbon ceramic brakes – 396mm discs at the front, 360mm rear – with new Michelin rubber around the wheels, which comes complete with tyre pressure and temperature monitoring systems.

It comes just a day after Edo’s quite mad Mercedes C63 AMG was revealed. Click here if you want to see what else the German tuner’s been up to.
