Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Spia by DMC

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta gains 24bhp and a whole heap of carbonfibre thanks to a German tuning company

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta has been given a boost by DMC. The German tuning company has raided its carbonfibre parts cupboard and made the already unmistakeable F12 look bolder yet. The F12 Spia's styling is said to be inspired by the Ferrari 599XX track special – that large rear diffuser in particular – while parking is made more perilous by a protruding carbon front splitter, which also features a ‘front sword’ in its centre. There’s carbon just about everywhere you look, both the bonnet and engine bay gaining the lightweight material as well as the side mirrors and an all-new roof scoop. There’s no word on how much (if any) mass is saved by the carbon addenda. The wheels are made from forged alloy and while no interior photos are currently available, customers can apparently order a bespoke cabin made from leather and – of course – carbonfibre. The cost this incurs is likely to be high… The F12 Berlinetta’s specs aren’t completely overhauled by DMC’s work. A titanium exhaust system sees power from its 6.3-litre V12 engine rise from 730 to 754bhp, so a significant improvements over the standard car’s 3.1sec 0-62mph time and 211mph+ top speed are unlikely. There’s no word on what premium the F12 Spia will demand over the regular Ferrari’s £239,736 price, but carbonfibre doesn’t come cheap. Read our Ferrari F12 Berlinetta review
