Geneva 2011: Novitec Rosso Ferrari 599 GTO

Famed Ferrari tuner unveils its more powerful 599 GTO supercar at Geneva 2011

Novitec Rosso has revealed its tuned Ferrari 599 GTO at the 2011 Geneva motor show. It has fitted Ferrari’s most powerful road car with two superchargers, the result being 876bhp and 636 lb ft. A new intake manifold, a stainless-steel exhaust, a large intercooler, high-flow air filters and higher-capacity fuel injectors have also contributed to massive power gains, which represent rises of 215bhp and 178lb ft over the standard, already powerful GTO. Novitec claims the car can sprint from 0-124mph in just 9.1sec and hit a top speed in excess of 211mph.

Externally, the Novitec car is distinguished by its silver and yellow colour scheme, evoking the style of the 250 GTO that was victorious in the 1964 Tour de France. Furthermore, the car has unique lightweight alloy wheels that measure 21in at the front and 22in at the rear. In a sea of tasteless tuned metal at Geneva, the Novitec Rosso Ferrari 599 GTO looks fantastic.
