Dodge's all-new muscle car gains SRT10 model

We're already partial to Dodge's noughties interpretation of the Challenger muscle car at evo, and in preparation for the SEMA after-market car show in Las Vegas next month, the brand has produced this SRT10.

Billed as a concept, the SRT10 gains the Dodge Viper's 8.4-litre V10 engine - producing a fairly monstrous 592bhp and 560lb ft. And if you're concerned about putting all that power through a Challenger, the suspension gains Bilstein shocks to help transfer the extra poke to the road.

Cosmetic changes include Tornado red paint, a carbon fibre bonnet and bootlid, and some smart five-spoke alloys. It makes the Challenger even more reminiscent of 1970s muscle cars such as the Hemi Cuda that have inspired the modern day resurgence of the genre - which appears to be dodging the credit crunch so far.
