LA Show: Dodge Charger Daytona

Dodge Charger Daytona package re-imagines muscle car legend.

Dodge has revealed a new high-performance Daytona package, now available for the Hemi-powered Charger R/T model. The package includes satin black bonnet stripes, roof wrap and rear spoiler. 20-inch polished alloy wheels complete the package externally, along with Daytona lettering on the rear quarters.

Performance is close to the standard 370bhp model, although tweaks do include a ‘Daytona Blue' engine cover, performance 3.06 rear axle ratio, high-speed engine controller, paddle shifters with sport mode and sports steering and suspension.

The model gets a custom Nappa leather and suede interior, a Beats Audio sound system and numbered dash plaque – with just 2500 Daytonas to be produced. Available in a choice of Daytona Blue, Bright White, Billet Silver or Pitch Black the Charger Daytona is available in the States early next year, from just $ 33,000 (£20,600 at current exchange rates) for the standard R/T model, climbing to $ 36,495 (£22,775) for the Road & Track Daytona edition.
