Chevrolet WTCC Ultra

WTCC-inspired concept 'ready to race'

In an effort to help us forget that Europe’s Chevrolets are actually rebadged Daewoos, the Americans are launching this concept car at the Paris show. Called the WTCC Ultra, it echoes the looks of the cars in the World Touring Car Championship, a series in which Chevy is starting to take victories.

Powered by a 187bhp 2-litre turbodiesel, the concept is claimed to be ready to race. Take away the puffed-up wheelarches and you have the basic shape of the Lacetti replacement that, sadly, is unlikely to offer much in the way of thrills.
